One-of-a-Kind Competition in Pool B, Go-Round Two

A four-way tie, blazing-fast rides, and tough-bucking stock provided a rodeo to remember for the sold out crowd.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — May 18th, 2025

Surrey, B.C. – It's not every day that you see a four-man victory lap, but that's what happened in the bareback competition at the Cloverdale Rodeo on Sunday. 86 was a lucky number for Jacob Lees, Orin Larsen, Dean Thompson, and Sage Allen as all four riders tied for top spot in the second go-round for Pool B. Their individual rides were remarkabe, but the unique victory lap will be a standout memory for riders and fans alike. The tie was fortuitous for all four men, too, as the $1,625 each ride [...]

Tight competition across every event

2025 - Pool B Go 2 Winner - Saddle Bronc - Ks Thomson

Energy in the sold-out stadium was high throughout the afternoon as riders looked to book their spot to the big money round on Monday. The day's tightest competition was in the barrel race, where Karen Gleason came out on top with a time of 15.79 seconds to beat fellow Touchet, WA rider Kacey Gartner by .1 of a second. The go-round win came with a $2,800 pay day, which was enough to book Kacey's ticket to the finals.

The bull riding and saddle bronc competitions were even closer and both were decided by a half point. Tristen Hutchings took home his second straight win on the bulls and Ks Thomson earned the top spot both in the go-round and in the overall standings across both saddle bronc pools. The hard-bucking Kesler bulls and broncs took their toll on riders as only four saddle bronc riders and three bull riders hung on for the full eight seconds. The extra prize money from the split was enough to help so [...]
