Our History

From 1888 to today

Established in February 1888 to promote and encourage agricultural development in the Lower Fraser Valley, to provide a location where social and recreational activities of the community could take place and to hold agricultural fairs and exhibitions, race meets and other social, sporting and recreational events.

Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair History - 1948-1995

A community staple for over 75 years

The Cloverdale Rodeo made its debut in 1945 in a Cloverdale farmers' field which formed into a larger event in 1946 once it moved to the Cloverdale Fairgrounds. In 1996, the Cloverdale Rodeo and the Fall Fair amalgamated into one event, held over the May long weekend, now what we know as the Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair. 76 years later, the Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair event is still a community staple. One of Western Canada's favourite family-friendly events which sees over 70,000+ attendees every year.
